1st Amendment to the Elected Officials Accountability Act 2018

An amendment to expand government transparency.

Now, therefore, BE IT ENACTED by the order of the glorious Constitution of this People's Republic, by and with the advice and consent of the democratically elected representatives of the Central Committee, in holding the public mandate, in this present committee assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows --

Article I Short Title

(1) This act may be cited as the "1st Amendment to the EOAA"

Article II Definitions

(2) “Principal Act” shall refer to the current bill here presented.

(3) “Official” shall refer to those holding the offices of Central Committee (including the Premier), and the Ministers.

Article III Provisions

(4) Clause (7) and subclause (c) shall be amended to read the following:

(7) Under the topic, any citizen may ask the Official questions and have discussions about their work or their planned work.

  • (a) It is required for the Official to answer the questions posed under their topic.

(5) Clause (7) shall have the following subclauses appended:

(b) The Official shall be required to answer any question within 3 days (72 hours).

(c) If the Official had a proxy post the topic on their behalf, that proxy shall answer all questions unless and until said Official returns.

(d) The Official shall answer all questions on the topic until a new topic is opened the next month, in which the Official shall answer all questions under the new topic.

(e) The Official shall not be obligated to answer any questions deemed under the following:

  • (i) Spam.
  • (ii) Revealing of confidential information.
  • (iii) Any questions that are not reasonable and sensible.

(6) Clause (4) shall be amended to read the following:

(4) "Official" shall refer to those holding the offices of Central Committee (including the Premier), and the Ministers.

(7) Clause (5) subclauses (a) and (b) shall be amended to read the following:

(a) All Officials are required to post a topic detailing their months work. (b) If an Official, for whatever reason, cannot post the topic, they can appoint a proxy to post the topic on their behalf.

Article IV Schedule

(8) The principal act shall come into force immediately upon passage of the Central Committee with the signature of the General Secretary.
